I need some suggestions. Kids playroom. It has been recently cleaned out and reorganized. Looks fabulous.
I am looking for some art to put on the walls. I’d rather not do any Subway art, I have a lot of that already through the house. And I’d like to do more contemporary.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Here is a picture of the room:
The pics on the wall are Santa and kid pics that are only put up during the holidays and will be coming down today. On the wall to the right is framed kid art that will be coming down as well (I’m not tossing it, I’m making a big ass scrapbook).
I found this on etsy. I like the colors and like that it is contemporary

Hey….found your blog awhile back via Casey. Anyways, something that might be fun and add some fun patterns and color is to use embroidery hoops, put fun fabric in them and then hang! You could do different sizes and shapes. I’m such there are tons of examples on Pinterest. You could do modern fabrics with fun prints to add the contemporary aspect but the hoops give it a little bit of a vintage feel. I’ve seen the other pictures you posted with the rest of your house…you have so many cute vintage accents that this would flow nicely! If you are not so keen on the hoop idea, a grouping of fun fabrics framed in bright frames would be cute too….both options would be easy to change out when you get bored with it! Good luck…love the vintage desks too!!
Looking good! Check out allposters.com for colorful prints maybe jungle animals…hard when there boy and girl.
Damn! The playroom looks great. What about Dick & Jane prints?
Love the Dick and Jane idea!
What about an alphabet wall? I would love to go on a hunt for 26 different types of letters. I thought about doing this is our upstairs playroom/gameroom.
Dump the play room and make it a guest room. They dont need it. Go to IKEA to get a bunch of cheap, modern stuff…
does your playroom always look like that? my kids destroy theirs in 2.3 seconds. I gave up!
I love your playroom, but think the contemporary look would be fun. Love Lindsay’s ideas!
